Yoga is a practice for every body. Yoga is for you. Yoga is for me. If you can breathe you can do yoga, it is simply a matter of taking the time to find a style and teacher that suits you.

There is no need to be flexible or strong to do yoga because the practice meets you where you are on the day and every day that you return to it. Over time a committed practice can unravel the knots and limitations – physical, emotional mental or energetic – yoga makes you stronger, more flexible, releases you from past habits and helps to form new life affirming patterns.

Yoga Fundamentals: Beginner’s Courses

 Beginner’s yoga courses throughout the year. We run a 6 week program designed to introduce students to the key principles of Hatha or physical yoga.

Short simple information regarding the broader place of yoga in lifestyle, its history and origins, use of language and of ritual. A variety of ages and physical abilities in participants was easily managed by the teacher – very adaptable. This course is good for complete beginners as well as other who may have done some yoga previously.  Superb teacher. Margot has an excellent teaching style and even in a full room all participants were individually addressed, praised or corrected as necessary. Easy to understand verbal instructions/descriptions for what each part of your body should be doing. Margot is able to impart her knowledge in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. It is great to learn the differences between the different types of yoga. also having course notes emailed allows you to read them at your own leisure. Definitely recommend the course – being a novice beginner with mobility issues (&health issues) I felt comfortable and safe.”

“A very comfortable environment. There wasn’t a classroom full of experienced people so I felt at ease. Emails helped before the class helped heaps!. I need to refer back to notes and the stick figure diagrams helped to show what the poses should look like. Margot has a great teaching style. Great at showing, explaining and repeating until it  sinks in (eventually). I have learnt heaps from why i would do yoga and grasping basic understanding of how to do basic poses.
